2 women arrested on prostitution and other charges at Opelousas spa | Crime

OPELOUSAS, La. — St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said his office has received numerous complaints from citizens over the past few months regarding Green Spa, located at 628 Creswell Lane in Opelousas. The plaintiffs said the female employees engaged in sexual acts for money.

On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, St. Landry Parish Narcotics Detectives, assisted by the St. Landry Parish Criminal Investigation Division, executed a search warrant at Green Spa. During the execution of the search warrant, detectives arrested two Asian women identified as Xiaoxia Li, aka Yuang Yong and Luyanxing Couras, as well as a man who was questioned on scene and released.

Detectives subsequently seized two video recorders valued at $2,487, two DVRs, seven cell phones, an external hard drive, an I-pad, two checkbooks for a person not on site, a handwritten ledger, numerous commercial and professional documents and an ATM.

The investigation revealed that the women were operating a brothel disguised as a legitimate massage parlor. Detectives discovered that the two women were offering sexual favors in exchange for money. After interviewing several customers, detectives learned that the women were soliciting customers to perform various sexual acts for money. The ATM was conveniently located in the lobby of the business so customers could get money via debit or credit card to pay for their sexual acts.

Both suspects were not very cooperative and claimed to speak very limited English.

They were both incarcerated in the SLPSO prison and later released on bail.

Sheriff Guidroz emphasized that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
