2 Splendora ISD employees arrested for possession of child pornography

SPLENDOR – Two Splendora ISD employees were arrested and charged with possession of child pornography.

Isaac Silva, a 29-year-old paraprofessional at Peach Creek Elementary School, and Anthony Jackson, a 26-year-old paraprofessional at Splendora High School, were both charged with possession of child pornography.

Silvia and Jackson have also both been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation by authorities.

The district said that while it was not aware of any district-related misconduct by Silvia and Jackson, it was still conducting its own administrative investigation.

Full statement from Splendora ISD regarding the incident:

On June 6, two Splendora ISD employees (Isaac Silva, an employee of Peach Creek Elementary, and Anthony Jackson, an employee of Splendora High School) were arrested for allegations of possession of child pornography. The District has placed the employees on administrative leave pending a full law enforcement investigation.

Montgomery County Precinct 4 made the arrests, with the Texas Department of Public Safety leading the investigation. We appreciate the diligence of our local law enforcement and, in particular, the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force for their proactive efforts to keep our children safe.

Splendora ISD is not currently aware of any district-related misconduct, but the district will conduct its own administrative investigation in cooperation with law enforcement. Please be assured that the safety and security of our children remains our top priority. Detective Stacy Sherlock is the lead investigator on this case for the district. Please contact her at [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jeff Burke

Superintendent of Schools
