2 people saved from Worcester apartment fire

2 people saved from Worcester apartment fire

MATT, WHAT IS THE SITUATION CURRENTLY? So excuse me, Doug, we just had a different perspective. YOU CAN SEE THE DAMAGE THROUGHOUT. THIS IS THE THIRD UNIT IN THIS BUILDING. Again, it's a huge complex here. Washington Heights and you can see there is some of the worst damage. And that's when we were told that two people had to be rescued from the third floor. Let's show the video from last night. THIS ALL HAPPENED AROUND 230 THIS MORNING. Here in the Washington Heights complex in Worcester. IT’S A MASSIVE COMPLEX. The fire chief says two people were trapped on the third floor. MUST BE RESCUED BY FIRE FIGHTERS FROM LADDERS TO THE GROUND. THEY WERE BROUGHT TO THE HOSPITAL. THEIR CONDITION IS UNKNOWN AT THE MOMENT. ALSO, THE FIRE CHIEF SAYS A THIRD PERSON WENT TO THE HOSPITAL. THEIR CONDITION ALSO UNKNOWN. RIGHT NOW. We also just spoke with a resident. OUT THERE. YOU CAN MAY HEAR THE FIRE ALARMS GOING OFF IN THE BACKGROUND. That's how most locals knew there was something here. THEY THEN CAME OUT AND SAW THE MASSIVE FIRE. You're going to hear from some of these residents here in a few moments, but it's just a huge situation here. A lot of people have displaced a lot of people who don't know if they'll be able to go to work, even if their building hasn't been infected, just because there are so many fire trucks and so many police officers here. This is definitely a massive story here in Worcester, they're going to follow it through this reveal for now. LIVING AT WORK
