2 people break into a pharmacy near Mayer

CORDES LAKES, AZ (AZFamily) — Investigators are searching for two suspects who broke into a pharmacy and stole narcotics in Corde Lakes earlier this week.

The break-in happened early Monday morning at the Cordes Pharmacy in Cordes Lakes, near Mayer. According to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to an alarm and found the front door had been forced open.

Inside, deputies found a closet had also been forced open and was empty. YCSO says the cabinet is where all the narcotics were stored.

The pharmacy owner shared security video with investigators showing a small gray SUV pulling up to the rear of the building. Two suspects dressed in black and wearing masks are then seen breaking in through the front door using a yellow pry bar.

They were inside the building for less than three minutes and left toward Interstate 17 before officers arrived. It is believed to be a 2015-19 Honda HRV.
