2 people arrested for stabbing man in New Windsor

A 24-year-old man was stabbed Friday in New Windsor and led to the arrest of two suspects, police said.

Police said officers responded to the village of Silver Stream at 1:21 p.m. and found the victim bleeding from his face and right hand. He was taken to St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital.

Authorities determined the victim “had been involved in a violent encounter with two other men.”

Police said Steven Gordon, 59, and John Maines, 67, were arrested after executing a search warrant at Silver Stream Village, 16 Bivona Lane. Police said they found the knife used in the attack, along with crack cocaine.

Both suspects were taken to the Orange County Jail, according to authorities.

News 12 reported earlier this year on drug arrests in New Windsor involving the same suspects.
