2 people arrested for DWI and other reports

Police arrested Fernando Salgado Perez, 20, for driving while intoxicated, open container, driving after revocation, speeding and ignition interlock violations after a traffic stop at 2:15 a.m. Saturday near East Main Street and Morningside Road .

Police arrested Christofher Jason Garza, 51, for third-degree driving while intoxicated after receiving a report of a drunk driver at 1:10 p.m. Saturday near West Front Street and Jefferson Avenue.

1 person arrested on warrant

Deputies arrested Htoo Reah, 31, on a Mower County arrest warrant after a traffic stop at 10:40 p.m. Friday near Freeborn County Route 46 and 850th Avenue.

A trash can caught fire

A trash can was reported on fire at 11:02 p.m. Sunday at 18405 US Highway 69. The fire was extinguished.

Identity theft reported

Police received a report of possible identity theft Friday at 4:16 p.m. at 411 S. Broadway.

1 cited for underage drinking

Police cited Kami Jean Tapp, 19, for underage driving while intoxicated at 1105 Madison Ave.

Medical bag, money stolen

A medical bag containing diabetic supplies was reported stolen from a vehicle, along with cash, at 9:16 p.m. after a stop at 315 Johnson St. in Hartland.

Vehicles reported stolen

A vehicle was reported stolen at 8:26 a.m. Saturday at 1328 St. John Avenue. He was later found on the corner of James Avenue and East Fourth Street.

A pickup truck was reported stolen at 9:24 a.m. Saturday at 315 E. Richway Drive.

Bike reported stolen

A bicycle was reported stolen Saturday at 1:43 p.m. at 1223 James Avenue. It was reportedly stolen around 4 a.m.

Thefts reported

At 11:49 a.m. Sunday, police received a report of a missing trading post, sink and chain-link fence at 2417 Myers Road.

Various items were reported missing from vehicles at 7:35 p.m. Sunday at 514 E. Seventh St.

Woman injured after tree falls on car

A woman was reportedly taken by ambulance to the hospital after a tree fell on a car at 1:35 p.m. Sunday at 813 Pillsbury Ave.
