2 men charged Saturday in Sioux Falls stabbing, police say

Two men have been arrested for aggravated assault in connection with a stabbing that occurred Saturday around 4:15 p.m. near 3000 West Russell Street.

The two men, 55, of Box Elder, and 36, of Sioux Falls, confronted another man over an issue between the three of them, possibly related to money, and one person held down the victim while the other stabbed her, Sioux Falls. Police Department spokesman Sam Clemens said.

The victim had injuries to his upper chest, neck and head and was transported to a hospital, where his injuries were later described as non-life-threatening, Clemens said.

The Argus Leader is not disclosing the names of the two suspects, as this is a case that the media will not follow through to the end of the legal process at this time.
