Two Georgia men are behind bars after being caught on a Mississippi highway with more than 50 pounds of pot.

Deputies with the Pontotoc County Sheriff's Department arrested Ty'jhai Davis, 21, of Loganville, Georgia, and Cally Pusey, 23, of Covington, Georgia, during a routine traffic stop on the Interstate 22. As the vehicle approached, law enforcement said a “strong odor of marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle.”

After searching the vehicle, large bags were found in the trunk, all containing individual packages of marijuana. The grand total was north of 50 pounds.

Davis and Pusey were booked into the Pontotoc County Adult Detention Center on trafficking charges, with each offender's bond set at $15,000.

This is the latest marijuana crackdown by law enforcement in Pontotoc County, following previous cases this year including the seizure of 140 pounds from another Georgia native and of more than 1,200 pounds from a California driver traveling to North Carolina.
