2 Charlestown fire victims identified

CHARLESTOWN, NH – The State Fire Marshal's Office announced that the two victims of the fire at 1B Crown Point Drive in Charlestown on June 6 have been identified.

The NH Medical Examiner's Office identified the victims as Hope Schraer, 36, of Enfield, NH, and Allen Ballou, 38, of Royalton, VT. The cause of both deaths was determined to be smoke inhalation and the manner of death was accidental.

The investigation into the origin and cause of the fire is active and ongoing by members of the NH State Fire Marshal's Office and the Charlestown Fire and Police Departments.
