17-year-old shot in Baton Rouge identified by police | Crime/Police

A 17-year-old who was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon has been identified by Baton Rouge police as Tyrese Stewart, the department said.

The victim was shot shortly after 4:20 p.m. in the 3300 block of Dalton Street.

Stewart was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries, police said in a news release Wednesday.

The motive and suspect(s) are unknown at this time, the department said.
