17-year-old boy missing for seven weeks accidentally appears on someone's live stream

You can see all sorts of things on live streams, but it's rare that a teenager who disappeared nearly seven weeks ago accidentally shows up on one.

But that's exactly what Troy Coleman's family thinks.

According to his relatives, who are frantically searching for him, the 17-year-old, originally from Mt. Morris Township in the US state of Michigan, has not been seen since May 21.

Due to the lack of leads in the investigation into his disappearance, Troy was believed to be dead.

But what is extraordinary is that he was reportedly spotted during a livestream organized by the famous Twitch streamer FaZe Lacy.

The content creator was broadcasting what he was doing in Miami with his friend Clix to his hundreds of thousands of followers on the online platform, when a shirtless young man in bright green shorts was spotted walking down the street.

A man who claims to be Troy Coleman's brother has claimed he is the person seen in Twitch star FaZe Lacy's (X/@LacyHimself) livestream.

The boy stops and chats with the streamers as they dine outdoors at a restaurant, sharing a few jokes before chatting with people at another table.

Eventually the conversation ends and the shirtless teenager heads off on his way.

Lacy didn't think much about the incident until he checked his email and discovered that someone claiming to be the brother of the man who had been featured in their Twitch stream had been in contact with him.

The man, who explained that he was Troy's brother named Trent, informed the streamer that he was a missing family member.

The email read: “Hello, my name is Trent Coleman and my missing little brother from Michigan was on Clix and Lacy’s stream in Miami.

“He was wearing green shorts and they were making fun of him, he doesn't do drugs, he's schizophrenic and he's 17. If anyone can contact me about this I would be very grateful, he's been missing for three months and his case is closed as a homicide in Michigan.”

Lacy then shared a still image of what is believed to be Troy from the footage, as well as a screenshot of the message he received from Trent, on X.

He wrote: “Yesterday on live he came to me and Clix and now his family knows he is alive and in Miami. I wasn't sure if I should go public with this but I hope it helps his family somehow find him.”

Asked to clarify what he thought the contents of the email suggested, Lacy told a social media user: “I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it means they thought he was dead, but now his family knows he's alive. The power of the internet is crazy.”

Troy's father, Weston Coleman, has already issued a public appeal for help in finding his son, who was last seen near the intersection of Pasadena Avenue and Lavelle Road in Mt. Morris Township, Townsquare Media reported.

He suspected his son may have boarded a bus and then left the area.

Weston said Troy was unarmed and did not pose a danger to the public, but explained that the teenager suffered from mental health issues and had hallucinations that required medication – which he did not have with him.

The 17-year-old was last seen wearing a black hoodie with gray sweatpants and white slip-on shoes.

Troy is approximately 6'4″, weighs 165-180 lbs, and has blue eyes and brown hair.
