A juvenile was arrested last week in connection with the Oct. 3 mass shooting at Morgan State University, according to a police news release.

The juvenile was arrested last Thursday in Washington, D.C., and has been charged with numerous counts of attempted murder, Baltimore police said in a statement. Police are not naming the juvenile suspect.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley announced the arrest and said authorities had an attempted murder warrant for another suspect in the case, 18-year-old Jovan Williams.

“We will not rest until Williams is in custody,” Worley said, according to the release. “While this arrest cannot undo the damage and trauma caused that day, I hope it can bring some peace and justice to the victims, the Morgan community and our city.”

Four of the five victims were students, authorities said at a news conference after the shooting. University President David Wilson added that the shooting happened after the crowning of Mister & Miss Morgan State for Homecoming Week.

“We were outside of our coronation, basically they let it out and everyone was leaving and then we saw two gunshots hit the front window and everyone just started running,” said one student from MSU identified only as David, to CNN affiliate WBALTV. “It was chaos.”
