17-year-old arrested after 15-year-old boy shot and killed in Triangle

A 17-year-old Triangle man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting June 3 in Triangle that left a 15-year-old dead and three others injured. The incident, which appears to stem from an ongoing dispute, continues to be investigated by detectives.

From the Prince William Police:

Murder Investigation *ARREST – Detectives identified and arrested a juvenile suspect in connection with the fatal shooting that reportedly occurred in the 3700 block of Masthead Trl. in Triangle (22172) on the evening of June 3. During the investigation, detectives determined that the defendant fired in the direction of a group of five men, including the four victims and a fifth man who was uninjured. Further investigation revealed that the parties knew each other and that the incident was believed to stem from a prior altercation and ongoing dispute between the parties. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as a 17-year-old minor, was arrested. The investigation continues as detectives seek to identify any other parties possibly involved in the fatal shooting.

The surviving victims were identified as a 16-year-old juvenile, an 18-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, all from Triangle.
