A video posted on Instagram believed to have been taken on Saturday appears to show a fight involving a group of youths. Another video, posted on TikTok, reportedly showed crowds of people fleeing along 12th Street, down the ramp from the boardwalk around 9:10 p.m. after the stabbing.

An investigation into the stabbing is underway. Anyone with information can contact the Ocean City Police Department Detective Bureau at 609-525-9129.

Friday evening, around 10 p.m., the police intervened following a fight on the promenade involving two young girls, reported the daily OCNJ. A large crowd of miners surrounded the fight. The police dispersed the group and arrested several teenagers, who were returned to their parents. No weapons were used in the fight and no injuries were reported, according to police.

Last year, Ocean City enacted an 11 p.m. curfew for minors and a ban on backpacks on the boardwalk after 8 p.m., part of a broader effort to discourage unruly behavior among teenagers which is a persistent problem in the coastal city.
