14 years since Mickey Brougham of Belchertown was reported missing

BELCHERTOWN, Mass. (WWLP) – It's been 14 years since Michael “Mickey” Brougham left his home in Belchertown to go to a NASCAR race in Loudon, New Hampshire and there hasn't been a word since.

Mickey was reported missing on June 25, 2010. Two days later, the 54-year-old's watch and cell phone were found near the New Hampshire racetrack, but his truck and motorcycle remained parked at his home. him. Police searched for Mickey in Belchertown and New Hampshire, but no trace of him was found.

In the days, weeks, months and years that followed, his family members and residents of his hometown worked to try to find him. Signs on Belchertown lawns asked for help in getting Mickey home safely.

His family believes the secret to finding out what happened to Mickey lies in Belchertown. In an interview with 22News several years ago, Mickey's sister, Cindy Brougham Brown, told 22News that it was important “…that we get the message out; that we are always looking for answers. We still want to bring it home and we need that little snippet of information you heard to help us do that.

Police described Brougham as being approximately 5'6″ tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a gold chain necklace with a scorpion medallion. He also has a large surgical scar on his sternum and a tattoo of wolf on his left shoulder.
