12-year-old stabbed in East Providence – NECN

A 12-year-old boy was stabbed Friday evening in East Providence, Rhode Island, following an altercation.

Police told NBC10 Boston affiliate WJAR that the boy was stabbed in the leg and taken to a hospital where he is in stable condition.

No additional information about what led to the altercation was released and no suspects were immediately identified.

An investigation is underway.
