12-year-old arrested after teenager stabbed in Nottinghamshire | News

A 12-year-old boy has been arrested after reports a teenager had been stabbed during a fight in Nottingham.

Emergency services were called to reports that a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the back in Willbert Road, Arnold, at around 9.15pm yesterday, Friday June 14.

The teenager was taken to hospital. His injury is not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Nottinghamshire Police said officers quickly attended the scene and work is ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

As part of their investigation, police arrested a 12-year-old boy in connection with the attack. He was arrested on suspicion of intentional injury.

Detective Sergeant Nathan Bingham, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “I would like to reassure members of the public that we are treating this as an isolated incident and reassurance patrols have been increased in the area as we Let's continue to establish the facts about what happened.

“Our inquiries continue to locate an outstanding suspect in connection with this incident and officers remain in the area to reassure the public.”

Anyone with information, including anyone who may have recorded CCTV, dashcam or doorbell camera footage, is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 685 of June 14 2024, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
