PLAINFIELD, Ill. — Heat index values ​​of 105 degrees are a possibility as hot and humid conditions are expected throughout the week, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday's high is 97, with a maximum heat index of 105. For the rest of the week, maximum heat index values ​​of 100 degrees are possible. Tuesday the high temperature will be 93 degrees, Wednesday it will be 95 degrees and Thursday it will be 97 degrees.

“Periodic showers and thunderstorms are also expected over the next few days, but most hours are expected to be dry,” the weather service said.
