10 suspected criminals on the run

Crime in Greater Geelong jumped 15.7 per cent in 2023 compared to the previous year, with the region recording 16,641 criminal incidents, according to the Crime Statistics Agency.

About 50 percent of crimes were unsolved and only 35.9 percent resulted in charges.

Crime Stoppers Victoria chief executive Stella Smith urged anyone with information about the possible whereabouts of these suspected offenders to contact authorities.

“Everyone has a role to play in keeping their community safe and this is one way people in the Geelong region can contribute,” she said.

“Your information, even if you're not 100% sure, could be the missing piece of the puzzle that helps investigators solve a crime.

“We understand that people may feel anxious when sharing information.

“We want to remind the community that Crime Stoppers is a confidential crime reporting service that does not require you to provide your personal information.”

Scott Johnson

Scott Johnson, 51, is wanted by police for failing to post bail, willfully damaging property and driving without a license. Nine warrants have been issued for his arrest and he is known to frequent the Norlane area. Mr Johnson is 180 cm tall and has a medium build, blue eyes, brown hair and a fair complexion.

Leanne Pearce

Leanne Pearce, 43, is wanted by police for failing to answer bail and criminal damage charges. Six arrest warrants have been issued for her and she is known to frequent the Belmont area. Ms Pearce is 175cm tall and has a medium build with blue eyes, blonde hair and a fair complexion.

Simon Ballantin

Simon Ballantine, 37, is wanted by police for alleged theft and possession of a prohibited weapon. Five warrants have been issued for his arrest and he is known to frequent the Breakwater area. Mr. Ballantine is 180 cm tall and has a strong build, blue eyes, brown hair and a fair complexion.

Glen Jones

Glen Jones, 32, is wanted by police for allegedly contravening a community correctional facility order, theft and unlawful assault. Nine warrants have been issued for his arrest and he is known to frequent the North Geelong area. Mr Jones is 174cm tall and has a medium build, blue eyes, black hair and an olive complexion.

Simone Trench

Simone Trench, 33, is wanted by police for allegedly contravening a community corrections order, failing to answer bail and stealing a motor vehicle. Six arrest warrants have been issued for her and she is known to frequent the Norlane area. Ms. Trench is 165 cm tall and has a slim figure, blue eyes, blond hair and a fair complexion.

Eric Vital

Eric Vital, 25, is wanted by police for theft, criminal damage and possession of cannabis. Seven arrest warrants have been issued against him and he is known to frequent the Corio area. Mr. Vital is 165 cm tall and has a solid build, brown eyes, black hair and a dark complexion.

Marc Sparks

Mark Sparks, 43, is wanted by police for allegedly failing to post bail and for theft. Seven warrants have been issued for his arrest and he is known to frequent the East Geelong area. Mr. Sparks is 175 cm tall and has a medium build, brown eyes, black hair and a tan complexion.

Damien Wray

Damien Wray, 42, is wanted by police for allegedly failing to answer bail, possession of methylamphetamine and possession of cannabis. Six warrants have been issued for his arrest and he is known to frequent the Norlane area. Mr Wray is 175cm tall and has a medium build, brown eyes, brown hair and a fair complexion.

Brenton O'Neill

Brenton O'Neill, 40, is wanted by police for allegedly contravening a community correctional facility order, intentionally causing injury and driving while suspended. Six warrants have been issued for his arrest and he is known to frequent the Norlane area. Mr O'Neill is 176cm tall and has a medium build, hazel eyes, black hair and a tan complexion.

Dylan Spurling

Dylan Spurling, 26, is wanted by police for allegedly failing to answer bail, stealing a motor vehicle and driving without permission. Seven warrants have been issued for his arrest and he is known to frequent the Breakwater area. Mr. Spurling is 188 cm tall and has a strong build, brown eyes, brown hair and a fair complexion.
