1 person seriously injured in Uptown stabbing, says MEDIC – WSOC TV

CHARLOTTE — One person was injured Saturday evening in a stabbing in downtown Charlotte, paramedics said.

It happened around 9 p.m. on West Trade Street, about five blocks from Bank of America Stadium.

It happened the same night that country music icon George Strait performed at the stadium.

MEDIC said one person was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

It's unclear what led to the incident or if anyone will be charged.

No further information has been released.
