1 person in hospital after stabbing at Krutch Park in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department is investigating after officers responded to a stabbing at Krutch Park in downtown Knoxville on Saturday around 11:30 p.m.

When police arrived, they found a man with a knife wound. The victim reported being stabbed by a bald white man who ran from the area, according to a KPD news release.

According to KPD, after searching the area, they found no witnesses.

KPD said the victim was sent to the University of Tennessee Medical Center to be treated for serious injuries.

KPD also said anyone with information that could assist in the investigation is asked to contact East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers at (865) 215-7165.

Information such as the identity of the victim or the cause of the stabbing is currently not available. This story will be updated when more information becomes available.
