1 killed, another injured in shooting south of Columbus

Police arrested two men. Both men are accused of murder.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man was killed and another person was seriously injured after a shooting at a south city apartment complex Monday afternoon, according to the Columbus Division of Police. Two men are in police custody.

The shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. on Buffalo Court, just west of Obetz, near Indian Meadows Apartments.

One person, identified as Raqwan Ogelsby, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person was taken to Grant Medical Center in serious condition.

Police arrested two people, 18-year-old Michael Twitty and 26-year-old Jachin Perry Jr. Both men are charged with murder and Perry faces an additional charge of felonious assault.

The circumstances of the shooting were not available.
