Man seriously injured after stabbing in Keene; 1 person arrested, according to police

A man was seriously injured after being stabbed in Keene Wednesday afternoon, police said. Keene police said around 4:30 p.m. they went to West Street for a reported stabbing. The victim, a 46-year-old man, was found at Cheshire Medical Center where he was treated for serious but life-threatening injuries, police said. >> Download the free WMUR app to get updates on the go: Apple | Google Play << Kristopher Powers, 35, of Keene, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and violation of a protection order, following an interaction with a person on site who was not the victim, police said. Powers was held without bail and his arraignment was pending Thursday afternoon, police said. The case remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Keene police at 603-357-9820.

Kristopher Powers, 35, of Keene, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and violation of a protection order, following an interaction with a person at the scene who was not the victim, said the police.

Powers was held without bail and his arraignment was pending Thursday afternoon, police said.

The case remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Keene police at 603-357-9820.
