1 dead, two injured in head-on collision in Butler County

One person is dead and two others were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash in Butler County. According to Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones, it happened around 3 a.m. when Butler County Sheriff's deputies and Milford Township Fire and Life were dispatched to a two-vehicle head-on crash on US 127, south of Harris Road. Jones said a 2014 Toyota Camry was heading south on 127 when it went left of center, striking a 2014 Chrysler 300. The driver and passenger of the Toyota were trapped in the vehicle. Once extricated, they were both taken by AirCare to the University of Cincinnati with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Chrysler was pronounced dead at the scene. The Butler County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team (START) responded to the scene to investigate. The sheriff's office says speed and alcohol appear to be a factor in the crash and an investigation is underway.
