1 dead, 7 injured following shooting at Louisville nightclub: police

One of the injured is in critical condition, according to investigators.

Investigators in Louisville, Kentucky, said they were searching for a suspect and clues in a mass shooting at a nightclub early Saturday morning that killed one man and injured seven others.

Officers received a call around 12:47 a.m. for shots fired outside H20 Lounge and first responders found a man suffering from a gunshot wound when they arrived, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.

The unidentified man was later pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services, police said.

A second unidentified victim was rushed to University Hospital “with injuries believed to be critical and life-threatening,” according to LMPD.

Later that morning, investigators learned that six other shooting victims, whose lives were not in danger, had been transported to area hospitals, according to police.

The victims' relationships were not immediately known. The investigation is ongoing.
