Woman charged with alleged theft of more than $60,000 in cash while employed at Lewiston ICCU branch | Idaho

LEWISTON – An employee at the Lewiston branch of Idaho Central Credit Union has been fired and faces a grand theft charge after allegedly stealing more than $60,000 from the credit union.

Earlier this month, Idaho Central Credit Union contacted police and reported suspected theft by an employee at its Lewiston location on Thain Road.

According to court documents, multiple audits revealed shortages of cash in the safe and in the electronic devices that handle cash at the credit union.

ICCU said its own internal investigation included a review of surveillance footage and logs from the vault and machines. Employees were also interviewed.

Video footage allegedly shows Macey L. Wymore, 31, of Clarkston, pocketing money on multiple occasions. The ICCU investigation shows that she allegedly stole more than $63,000 between December 7, 2023 and June 7, 2024.

Wymore's employment at LCCU ended earlier this month.

According to court documents, records and audits indicate that Wymore is suspected of taking nearly $4,000 in early December, $13,400 in February and $26,000 in May. Wymore allegedly took $23,000 on June 4, but later returned the money when it was discovered missing. Wymore is also accused of taking $20,000 on June 7.

Wymore allegedly admitted to police that she took approximately $40,000 to $45,000 from ICCU and that all of the stolen money had been spent. The investigation into Wymore revealed an account at another credit union, owned by Wymore, and allegedly showed cash deposits of more than $61,000 between November 2023 and June 2024.

Wymore was arrested and booked into the Nez Perce County Jail on Thursday. She is charged with grand larceny, a felony. She appeared in court Friday, bail was set at $10,000.
