Teen mom Jenelle Evans slams people who use weight loss drugs for 'instant results'

Teen Mom: Next Chapter star Jenelle Evans has no problem criticizing people who don't lose weight the old-fashioned way.

The Teen Mom 2 alum, 32, recently used her platform to speak out against the use of Ozempic — a drug created for diabetics — as a weight-loss medication. Ozempic has been proven to help with weight loss, even though the semaglutide injection is not designed for that specific purpose. Celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Kelly Clarkson, Amy Schumer, and many other famous people have jumped on the Ozempic bandwagon, helping to normalize the use of the drug for weight loss.

Jenelle revealed on X on Wednesday that she is against the Ozempic “trend” and believes the drug will do more harm than good to a person's body.

“I can't believe this trend of celebrities using Ozempic… first of all it's for diabetes if you didn't know,” the reality TV personality wrote. “Second… before taking medicine, you should look at the long-term effects rather than the instant results…”

She continued by tweeting: “I was also very happy that NC closed the huge PPD building we had. Now they just approved the construction of a billion dollar building for the Ozempic company in North Carolina. Don't give in. »

In the final tweet of her rant, she criticized people who lost weight with Ozempic, saying they looked unhealthy.

“Thirdly…look at everyone around you doing it…can’t you see the skeletal results? It looks sickly, not sexy,” Jenelle expressed.

“This is going to be the next big issue in America, right next to the opioid crisis. #JustATThought.” Jenelle’s opinion put her in the hot seat and was the target of backlash.

“You should be the LAST person in the world to talk about drugs,” one critic commented. The MTV star wasted no time in clapping back at some of her haters for criticizing her views.

When someone wrote, “Pot. Kettle. Black,” implying that she shouldn’t talk about Ozempic because she was using it to lose weight, Jennelle clarified, writing, “I have never used surgery or medication to lose weight…”

Another scoffed: “Jenelle has no place talking about other people's health while she's sitting here 50 pounds overweight drinking and smoking.”

Of course, Jennelle defended herself by replying, “It was definitely not 50 pounds overweight that caused the weight loss.”

The pregnant 16-year-old alumna's willingness to weigh in on Ozempic use may stem from her medical background. It was reported in 2021 that Jenelle graduated from a physician assistant program.
