Nicole Kidman Shares Rare Details About Raising Her Teenage Daughters After Red Carpet Debut

Nicole Kidman has praised her teenage daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret for helping her stay grounded despite her Hollywood status.

The Emmy, Golden Globe and Oscar winner, who shares her teenage years with Keith Urban, revealed that while the two are “very supportive,” they also tell her when to “calm down.”

It came after the teens made their red carpet debut at their mom's recent Life Achievement Awards ceremony at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, and Nicole shared that what she loved about it was that “the whole family was there.”

“It was a very hot night,” the actress told People.

“My sister came, and my daughters. It was their first time on a red carpet, and Keith was there. I also had all my nieces and nephews. The whole family was there, and that’s what I loved about it. It also took me back in time, which is not something I do very often.”

For their first big moment in the spotlight, the teens both wore gorgeous Monique Lhuillier gowns; Sunday wore a stunning white floral dress with a sweetheart neckline, while her younger sister wore a strapless red gown with a mermaid skirt.

Nicole wore a sparkling gold sequin dress from Balenciaga, a brand she adores as she also attended their 53rd Couture collection as part of Paris Fashion Week on Sunday, with her mother's adorable clone, aged 15 years.

Nicole, 57, opted for a shimmering black maxi dress by Balenciaga while Sunday kept it chic in a long-sleeved black velvet mini dress with sheer tights and a pair of stiletto heels.

Others at the couture show included Nicole's close friend Naomi Watts, Katy Perry, Kerry Washington and Joey King, with whom she stars in The family affair, available on Netflix now.

Nicole and Keith married in 2006 and split their time between Australia and Nashville, Tennessee. Nicole is also mother to her adopted children, Bella and Connor, whom she welcomed with ex-husband Tom Cruise; they are believed to be separated.
