Nearly 90 degrees, lots of sunshine in CLT

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Monday will be warm with fog forming early in the day. Winds will be light and skies will be clear before a breezy afternoon as drier air moves into the Carolinas.

Today will be mostly sunny and temperatures will reach 27°C. Lower dew points will help alleviate the excessive heat we have been dealing with all weekend. Winds today will be from the northeast between 16 and 24 km/h. Wind gusts may reach 32 km/h at times.


Lower dew points will bring relief for Monday and Tuesday, as overnight lows drop to the 60s. Tuesday will start off refreshing and comfortable before a sunny and pleasant day. Highs will reach the mid-80s under mostly sunny skies before the 90s return midweek.

Humidity and heat return as we approach the Fourth of July with the return of the mid-90s and the chance of spotty storms. We'll be with a feel-good temperature near 100 degrees throughout the day Thursday.

The weekend will be even warmer with maximum temperatures approaching 32°C on Friday. Risks of thunderstorms of 32°C and in the afternoon will set in for the weekend.
