KSP Safely Locates 2 Missing Children from Shelby Valley Pike County KY

SHELBY VALLEY, Ky. (FOX 56) — The two 12-year-olds have been found safe, according to Kentucky State Police.

A search is underway for two missing children who were last seen Thursday in the Shelby Valley community of Pike County.

Mollie Evans, 12, and Layla Johnson, 12, of Sheby Valley, were reported missing Friday after being last seen around 11 p.m. Thursday, according to the Kentucky State Police (KSP).

Mollie Evans was described by KSP as a white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 120 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and pajama pants. (KSP)
Layla Johnson is a white female, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, has brown hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a black shirt and gray sweatpants, authorities said. (KSP)
Both Evans and Johnson were last seen around 11 p.m. Thursday, according to authorities. (KSP)

Law enforcement said anyone with information that could help find the children is asked to call the KSP Pikeville Post at (606) 433-7711.
